It is now January, 30, 2005. The system is working well. One incident that I did not record was when the DSL card in the box a block away from my house went out. It was some while before the repair people noticed that even their computer could not use the service at my house. They wanted to tinker with my machine.

Another event was when the service at the far end of the ATM circuit was not in place. While in that state the URL <http://172.16.0.1/>, which leads to the main web page inside the box, showed under “Broadband Link”: incoming and outgoing connection speed of 0 and 0. That was fixed remotely after I called.

About once per week the 2wire box freezes and I cannot access its web site ot the Internet until I power cycle the box.
