"Create Terminal Control and Echoing Module (TCEM)" {(tcem)}

There are two forms of this call:
TSSC(2;SB1,M,SIK,SOK,CCK ==> c;CCK2,SIK2,SOK2,TCEMK)

{obsolete} TSSC(2;SB1,M,N ==> c;CCK2,SIK2,SOK2,TCEMK) where N is a node key to a node containing:

Slot 0: SIK {(sik)}

Slot 1: SOK {(sok)}

Slot 2: CCK {(cck)}

This operation creates a Terminal Control and Echoing Module. SB1 and M are used for resources. c = 0 if successful, 1 if SB1 is not a prompt official space bank, 2 if not enough space in SB1, 4 if N is not a node.

This operation creates a Zapper Module. SB1 is used to get space for the ZM; it must be an official prompt space bank. The ZM will run under meter M.

The components of the ZM are initially in the "Waiting for Reconnect" state.

c=0 if successful, 1 if SB1 is not a prompt official space bank, 2 if not enough space in SB1.

This call has two forms:
TSSC(4,((1,switchchar));SB1,M,SIKA,SOKA,CCKA,SB2,BID ==> c;TMMK,SIK3,SOK3,CCK3)
Because TSSC is a factory requestor key, the string (switchchar) must be passed on the second invocation of the extended jump protocol.

{obsolete} TSSC(4;SB1,M,N ==> c;TMMK,SIK3,SOK3) The switch character is assumed to be ESC. N is a node key to a node containing:
Slot 0: SIKA

Slot 1: SOKA

Slot 2: CCKA

Slot 3: SB2

Slot 4: BID for control branch

This operation creates a Terminal Multiplexor Module {(tmm)}. SB1 is used to get space for part of the TMM; it must be an official prompt space bank. The TMM will run under meter M and will use space bank SB2 to get space for new branches and buffers. The CCK3, SIK3, and SOK3 returned are for the control branch. BID will be the Branch ID for the control branch.

c=0 if successful. In the second form of call, slot 2 of node N will have the control branch CCK3 placed in it.

c=1 if SB1 is not a prompt official space bank,

c=2 if not enough space in SB1,

c=3 if not enough space in SB2,

c=4 if N is not a node.

After this call, the caller should not use CCKA, SIKA, or SOKA, but may reuse node N.

This call has two forms:
TSSC(5;SB1,M,SIK3,SOK3,CCK3 ==> c;CCK5,SIK5,SOK5)

This operation creates a Terminal Line Editor Module. SB1 and M are used for resources. c = 0 if successful, 1 if SB1 is not a prompt official space bank, 2 if not enough space in SB1, 4 if N is not a node.

TSSC(6;SB1,M,SIK5,SOK5,CCK5 ==> c;CCK6,SIK6,SOK6)

Slot 0: SIK5

Slot 1: SOK5

Slot 2: CCK5

This operation creates a Translation Module. SB1 and M are used for resources. c = 0 if successful, 1 if SB1 is not a prompt official space bank, 2 if not enough space in SB1, 4 if N is not a node.

This routine uses the extended jump protocol. Its function is similar to "Create TLEM" or "Create TM" above SIKx, SOKx and CCKx are either SIK5, SOK5, and CCK5 or SIK6, SOK6 and CCK6. "Attnchar" is the attention character and is in ASCII if level 5 keys are passed or EBCDIC if level 6 keys are passed. ATK7 is a byte stream that receives the attention characters.
